Namkeen Mutton Karahi is a traditional Pakistani dish originating from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.   1. Heat the oil:

    In a large karahi or wok, heat the oil over medium-high flame.

    Add a cinnamon stick, cumin seeds, black cardamom, ginger & garlic paste.

    Sauté for 1 minute until aromatic.

  1. Add Mutton:

    Add the mutton pieces and sear them on heat and add salt. Cook until the meat changes color and starts to brown slightly.

    Add 1.5- liter water.

  1. Sear the Mutton:

    Cover it with a lid and cook it until 3/4 water is shrink. Now uncover the lid and add black pepper and shrink the water from mutton.

    Cook for another 20 minutes or until the mutton is fork tender.
